Aquarium Fish Diets
AQUANUTRO’s granular food for aquarium fish is an exciting departure from the conventional flake. Feed ingredients are homogenised under high pressure to achieve the required granular structure and then dry and cool by mild airflow. It is then processed and graded into appropriate sized granules with a low-density granule that sinks slowly through the water, optimising its distribution to fish feeding in the different trophic water areas: top, middle and bottom. This helps ensure all of the fish have access to the feed promoting good fish health and reducing the development of hierarchies, particularly where different sized fish are kept in a community aquarium. In this way all the fish in the tank have enough opportunity to feed, which means less competition and cannibalism. In water the granules get a “gumball” structure - soft and swollen, while maintaining structure. The feed is therefore more likely to be eaten by the more sensitive fish in the aquarium. This excellent palatability reduces wasted feed that deteriorates water quality.

A major advantage of the manufacturing process is the increased dietary digestibility of food ingredients: Cooking the carbohydrate component causes the starch granules to swell, rupture and gelatinise so that after cooling, the diet has improved binding attributes. The drying method minimises heat damage to sensitive nutrients. Gelatinised starch is thus rendered more available, especially to the carnivorous fish that lacks enzymes to digest raw starch. This more digestible carbohydrate component results in an improved overall diet digestibility and better water quality through lower faecal output.

Aquarium Fish Breeding Formula
Younger small fish with a high specific growth rate, have a requirement for a diet with a higher level of balanced amino acids than older, larger fish. This is because they are depositing bundles of protein within their muscle blocks. AQUANUTRO’s Hi-protein formula reflects these changing dietary needs and are formulated with a higher level of the ideal amino acid profile. Use AQUANUTRO’s high protein formula until fish are large enough to consume maintenance food pellets

Probiotic Paste Formula
AQUANUTRO’s FOOD PASTE is a specialist food for fish suffering from commonly occurring stress-conditions such as transport, handling, extreme temperatures, poor water quality, and disease. It is enriched with a cocktail of beneficial anaerobic bacteria. The extended use of this product will help control the potential proliferation of pathogenic bacteria, and fungal growth commonly occurring after an antibiotic treatment or during prolonged stress conditions - to boost the natural ability of your fish to fight stress and disease.
